May Day Trip–Port Townsend to Port Angeles

Got an early start and arrived at Port Angeles at 2 PM. Tomorrow I cross the Straits into Canada, only about 12 miles.

Nothing as pretty as a wooden boat in the early morning light:

I rode the ebb tide out into the strait at a terrifying 11 miles per hour:
